ABOUT OUR GALLERY
Maybaum Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in downtown San Francisco. The gallery represents emerging and mid-career artists with a focus on process-driven work that reveals the artist’s hand. The gallery’s program is centered around encouraging the understanding, accessibility and appreciation of contemporary art.
The gallery is headquartered in the historic 49 Geary building and operates a second satellite location at 48 Stockton Street in the former Barneys building. Maybaum Gallery also participates in Art Fairs around the United States.
Founded in 2018 by Christina Maybaum, the gallery reflects her nearly two decades of experience in auction houses, museums and galleries in both the Bay Area and Chicago.
She holds a MA in Art History, Theory and Criticism specializing in Latin American Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, bringing a scholarly context to the gallery’s curatorial program.
